Looking for a good book? I have a few recommendations!
This is a place where I'll be posting about books, whether they're the books I'm currently reading, or the books that have made a lasting impact on me. Feel free to sit down with a cup of coffee from the cafe. This one is on the house.
I tend to read on my Kindle Paperwhite, but I recently picked up an XTEInk X4 ereader that I can slip into my pocket and take with me whenever I leave the house. It's been a real game changer for my reading outside of the house!

Yumi & the Nightmare Painter, by Brandon SandersonYumi is a beautiful novel, and was a breath of fresh air from my favorite author, Brandon Sanderson.

The Hobbit, by J.R.R. TolkienThe Hobbit is a book that I re-read annually. For some reason, it has become a holiday book for me; something I return to when the weather gets cold, and I find myself wanting to sit down with an old friend, and a cup of hot cocoa.

Dungeon Crawler Carl [series], by Matt DinnimanCurrently, I'm on book 3 of the DCC series. It's been really fun, and has served as almost a palette cleanser of sorts. I can sit down with Carl & Donut, turn off my brain, and enjoy the shenanigans they always get up to.

Chainsaw Man, by Tatsuki FujimotoChainsaw Man is something that I did not expect to fall in love with. I watched the first season of the show a couple of years ago and thought it was terrible. Some friends asked us to go see the Reze Arc movie with them, and we agreed, so I binged the first season to catch up. And, well, now I'm reading the manga, because I cannot wait for the next season to come out. I'm currently on Volume 9.

Tailored Realities, by Brandon SandersonBrandon Sanderson hasn't written a book I didn't enjoy yet, so I'm excited to dive into this book when I finish with the DCC series.

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, by Hank GreenHank Green is one of my favorite people. I enjoy his vidoes on science, life, and Ask Hank Anything. I haven't read any of his books yet, so this will be the first!
The Lies of Locke Lamora, by Scott LynchThis is a book that I've started a few times, and always fallen off within the first 20 or so pages. Maybe this time it'll stick! I've heard so, so many good things.
Guard in the Garden, by Z.S. DiamantiThis book popped up on my radar after having read Legends & Lattes and a few other cozy fantasy novels. I thought it was cool that the author was a veteran, and wanted to support a fellow vet.
Hooky, by MÃriam Bonastre TurThis is a graphic novel series that my oldest got from a school book fair, and she's been smitten with it. She just wrapped up the 3rd book in the series, and has offered to let me read the series now too!
